Sampling theorem plays a key role in digital signal communication and image processing since a continuous signal is usually recovered and processed by using its discrete samples. In this paper, we shall study the extension of sampling theorem related to generalized interpolating refinable function vectors introduced in Han Bin [J. Comput. Appl. Math., 2009, 227: 254-270]. Precisely, for an existing generalized interpolating d-refinable function vector ø=(ø1,…,ør)T, i.e.øl(m/r + k)= δkδl-1-m,Ⅴk∈Z,m=0,1,…,r-1,l=1,…,r.we construct a set of functions{ør+1,...,ødr} such that ø#=(øTr+1,…,ødr)T is also a continuous d-refinable function vector and satisfies øl(m/dr+k)=δkδθd,r(l)-m, Ⅴk|∈Z,m=0,1,…,dr-1,l=r+1,…,dr,with θd,r(l)=l-r+Rl-1-r,d-1,Rl-1-r,d-1=[l-1-r/d-1].The multiwavelet sampling theorem associated with ø# is established. Obviously, the sampling theorem in the multiwavelet subspaces of ø is extended. Moreover, we estimate the truncated error of the sampling theorem, which is desirable for application.

Let Ω ∈ Lq(Sn?1) with 1 < q ≤ ∞ be homogeneous of degree zero and has mean value zero on Sn?1. In this paper, we will study the boundedness of homogeneous singular integrals and Marcinkiewicz integrals with rough kernel on the weighted Morrey spaces Lp,κ(w) for q’ ≤ p < ∞ (or q’ < p < ∞) and 0 < κ < 1. We will also prove that the commutator operators formed by a BMO(Rn) function b(x) and these rough operators are bounded on the weighted Morrey spaces Lp,κ(w) for q’ < p < ∞ and 0 < κ < 1.

Rotation symmetric Boolean functions have important applications in Cryptology. In this paper, we study the fast evaluation of a special type of rotation symmetric Boolean function and the recurrence relation about its Hamming weight. Then, we factor the function into several sub-functions. Finally, we prove that the nonlinearity of the function is the same as its Hamming weight with the recurrence relations about Fourier-transform values of these sub-functions. The conclusions and the methods used to deal with exponential sums in this paper may be applied for the further research on a conjecture of Cusick.

Based on the minimal projective bimodule resolution given by Snashall and Taillefer, we explicitly calculate the dimension of each Hochschild homology group of a class of self-injective Koszul special biserial algebras ΛN in terms of combinatorics, and thus show intuitively that the Han’s conjecture holds true for ΛN by means of calculation.

In this paper, utilizing the method of nonstandard analysis, we prove that: (1) for any near standard interior subset A and a standard Borel regular finite outer measure μ of standard complete metric space (X,d), if f is a nonnegative real function in S0(X), then the integral inequality °(∫Afdμ)≤∫°A°fdμ holds, in special case °(μ(a))≤μ(°A) for f≡1; (2) if fS0(X) and E is a s-compact subset of X, then °(∫EfdHs)=∫E°fdHs, where ?(*) denote the shadow of *. Moreover, by using these results we give a judgment method of fractal with the interior nonempty and a calculating method for integration with respect to a fractal function on the Hausdorff measure space, the efficiency of the two methods is shown with examples.

Let π be a set of primes. Isaacs established the π-theory of characters, which generalizes the theory of Brauer module characters. Based on Isaacs’s work, we introduce the definition of Mπ-groups, a generalization of Mp-groups, and prove that if G is a finite π-nilpotent group then G is an M-group if and only if G is an Mπ-group.

In this paper, we discuss the spectrum of a class quadratic operator pencils which appears in vibrations of strings and beams. Meanwhile, we gained the spectrum of the infinite-dimensional Hamiltonian operators making use of these conclusions to the infinite-dimensional Hamiltonian operators and considering the special structure of infinite-dimensional Hamiltonian operators. This provides us with theoretical guarantee to discuss the method of semi-group to the infinite-dimensional Hamiltonian operators.

This paper studies the problem of the construction and approximation of spherical neural networks. Using generalized de la Vall磂e Poussin means of sphere, spherical quadrature rules and modified univariate Cardaliaguet-Euvrard neural network operators, we construct feed-forward networks of one hidden layer with logistic activation function, and give the error estimates of Jackson type.

We deal with (K1,K2)-quasiregular mappings. It is shown, by Morrey’s Lemma and isoperimetric inequality, that every (K1,K2)-quasiregular mapping satisfies a Hölder condition with exponent α on compact subsets of its domain, where  Differentiability almost everywhere of (K1,K2)-quasiregular mappings is also derived. We call a dynamical system chaos-minimal if it’s Li-Yorke chaos but has no proper subsystem being Li-Yorke chaos. It is shown that a chaos-minimal system must be topologically transitive and each nonempty open subset contains an uncountable scrambled set. We also construct a chaos-minimal dynamical system which is not minimal. At last, we consider the interval maps and point out an interval map must not be chaos-minimal, but the existence of a chaos-minimal subsystem is equivalent to having positive entropy.

In this paper, we consider the multi-generator system {EmblTnalφl, m, n ∈ Z, l=0,..., r?1} for φ0,..., φr?1L2(R) and a0, b0,..., ar?1, br?1 > 0. With the help of the frame theory, we provide a necessary and sufficient condition for the system to be a frame for L2(R), and present some characterizations for this system to be a Parseval frame. Moreover, we give a characterization of the relationship between multi-generator Gabor frame and its associated dual. In particular, we present an explicit construction of a class of multi-generator Gabor frames and associated duals.
