We generalize the inverse inequality of Marcinkiewicz function in Stein [On the functions of Littlewood-Paley, Lusin, and Marcinkiewicz, Trans. Amer. Math. Soc., 1958, 88: 430-466] to general cases. The main result of this paper is that, for any basis of spherical harmonic functions of order k in n-dimensional Euclidean space, we obtain the general inverse inequalities for Marcinkiewicz function, i.e. there exist a constant Cp does not depend on f such that ||f||p CpjN=1 ||μj(f)||p, where {μj(f)}jN =1 are the Marcinkiewicz functions of f generated by these spherical harmonic functions. Moreover, for any n-variable homogeneous harmonic polynomial Q(x) of order k, and the Poisson kernel Pt(x), we have Q(D)Pt(x) =Cn,k((tQ(x))/((|x|2+t2)/(n+2k+1/2)).

Given a positive function F on Hn+ which satisfies a convexity condition, we introduce an extrinsic curvature ΘF for spacelike hypersurfaces with regular Weingarten operator in Ln+1. For certain F, we show that the only spacelike hypersurfaces having constant ΘF and F-support function bounded between two negatives are the spacelike Wulff shapes. In case F= 1, we also get the same uniqueness result for the spacelike hypersurfaces with Hi/Hn =const.

Secondly, it is proved that the subset A of direct product Пλ∈Γ Aλ of family {Aλ |λ ∈ Γ} of co-frames whose elements have finite non-zero coordinates is an enriched joinsemi- lattice, and further it is proved that A is the co-product object of family {Aλ|λ ∈ Γ} of co-frames in the join-semi-lattice category. Thirdly, an up-coverage C* of A is defined by up-covering relationship of A'λs. Moreover, by the simple-up-set-valued mapping u : AC* Fil(A) and the standard embedding mapping qλ : Aλ → Пλ∈Γ Aλ it is proved that the co-frame C* Fil(A) derived by up-coverage C* of the enriched joint-semi-lattice A is the co-product object of family {Aλ|λ∈ Γ} of co-frames in co-frame category.

The results obtained in this paper represent an extension as well as refinement of previous known results. Meanwhile, the Jordan-von Neumann type constants C't(X), C_(X) for the Bynum space l2,∞ are computed, and are used to show that our results are sharp.

In this paper, by constructing a partial sum of ζ(k) on the Riemann Zeta function, using the ζn(k) power series function, Binomial expression and Cauchy product formula, some important sums are calculated. By extending the power series function from one variable to multivariate, some relationships of high order sums on Riemann Zeta function are established. By using the relationship between the logarithmic function and Stirling numbers of the first kind, and some other related equations, 18 seven-order sums of Riemann Zeta function and some other high order sums are obtained.

An Extragradient-Type Method for Variational Inequalities on Banach Spaces

In this paper, an extragradient-type method proposed by Wang, Xiu and Zhang [Modified extragradient-type method for variational inequalities and verification of the existence of solutions, J. Optim. Theory Appl., 2003, 119: 167-183] for solving variational inequalities in Euclidean spaces is extended to Banach spaces. The operator involved in the variational inequality is not necessarily uniformly continuous. The main advantage lies in that the proposed algorithm is well defined no matter whether the variational inequality problem has a solution or not. Furthermore, the existence of the solution to the variational inequality problem can be verified through the behavior of the generated sequence. Under some suitable assumptions, the sequence generated by the proposed method is strongly convergent to the solution of the variational inequality, which is closest to the initial iterate in the sense of Bregman distance. The main results presented in this paper generalize and improve the recent ones in the literature.

Different type of continuous functions of unbounded variation have been discussed. According to the local structure, all continuous functions have been classified. Meanwhile, certain examples of different kinds of fractal functions have been given. Properties of those fractal functions have also been discussed. Definition of singular continuous functions has been given and an equivalent theorem which can be used to describe whether a function is a singular continuous function or not has been set up. Based on definition of singular continuous functions, we make research on definition of local fractal functions and fractal functions. Fractal functions are composed of singular fractal functions, irregular fractal functions and regular fractal functions. Finally, definition of fractal functions corresponding to discontinuous functions has been explored.

Batch codes were first proposed by Ishai et al., an (n,N, k,m)-combinatorial batch code was defined by Peterson et al. as a purely combinatorial version of batch codes. It is a system consisting of m subsets of an n-element set such that any k elements can be retrieved by reading at most one (or in general, t) elements from each subset and the number of total elements in m subsets is N. For given parameters n, k,m, the minimum N, denoted by N(n, k,m), is of particular interest, which has both theoretical interests and strong practical motivation. So far, for k ≥ 5, m+3 ≤ n <, precise values of N(n, k,m) have not been established except for some special settings of the parameters. In this article, we obtain N(m+3, 5,m) = m+11 (m ≥ 7), N(9, 5, 6) = 18, N(m+3, 6,m) = m+13 (m ≥ 8), N(10, 6, 7) = 21. Our results partly answer an open problem of Paterson et al.

Many authors discussed the problem of existence and growth of complex difference equations, and obtained some intererting results.Using Nevanlinna theory of the value distribution of meromorphic functions,we investigate the expression of meromorphic solutions of a type of system of comples difference equations, and extend some results of solutions of complex difference equations to systems of complex difference equations.

We focus on symmetric partially balanced incomplete block designs with automorphism group M12 acting on 396 points. To begin with,we proved that there is no non-trivial 2-(396,k,λ) symmetric design admitting M12 be an automorphism group. Then up to isomorphism,we obtained three SPBIB designs with v=396 and k=80.Finally,we gave the complete classification of SPBIB designs with v=396 and automorphism group M12.

Let M2 be the algebra of all 2×2 complex matrices and Φ:M2M2 be a linear map.A 1-1 correspondence between the set of 3×3 complex orthogonal matrices and the set of similarity transformations of M2 is established, which then is applied to show that Φ preserves the determinant (resp.the spectrum, the peripheral spectrum) of Lie products if and only if there exist a scalar c∈{±1,±i},matrices S,T∈M2 with T invertible, such that Φ(A)=cTAT-1+tr(SA) I for all AM2.

The crossing numbers of Km-Pn were successively determined for 4 ≤ m ≤ 6 by Kleš? et al.In this paper, the crossing numbers of Km--2K2 are obtained by the construction method for 4 ≤ m ≤ 12 and m≠10,12.On the basis, the crossing numbers of Km-Pn for 4 ≤ m ≤ 9 and m≠8 can be determined. The method that we use is more general relatively.

Let H be an infinite dimensional separable complex Hilbert space and B(H) the algebra of all bounded linear operators on H.TB(H) satisfies Property (ω) if σa(T)\σea(T)=π00(T),where σa(T) and σea(T) denote the approximate point spectrum and essential approximate point spectrum of T respectively,π00(T)={λ∈iso σ(T):0N (T-λI)<∞}.TB(H) is said to have the perturbation of Property (ω) if T+K satisfies Property (ω) for all compact operator KB(H).We prove the equivalence of the perturbation of Property (ω) for anti-diagonal operator matrix and its square.
